This is a Poem About the Ridiculousness of Carrying on in an Apocalypse
I’m being clear, in case anyone would be confused about it
I’ve recently become very into looooooong one sentence poems. It feels like a chaotic real-time narration and a completely normal stream of consciousness. Something about the challenge of writing a long sentence that isn’t packed with conjunctions pleases me.
With that said, I am sharing the first draft of a poem I wrote after finishing my work day as an elementary school educator. I have a lot of tears to cry and rage to melt through and emotions that I am still learning to name. I plan to edit it more and submit it somewhere… for now it will stay in my drafts and be shared with all of you in this lovely community of subscribers.
